What to do for Peri menopause?
rn71953 asked:
I have been taking Prempro for perimenopause it worked great but sent my blood lipids off the chart so my Dr will be taking me off the medication. I can’t tolerate soy either. Anybody with the same problem? the heavy bleeding is the worse part along with mild hot flashes. What else have you tried? Thanks

PremPro is adding estrogen to you already estrogen dominant body. It’s fortunate that you are being taken off it!!
Bleeding (if not due to fibroids, endo, or any other sinister cause) is a function of estrogen… estrogen causes bleeding. It’s the natural way our cycles were designed. If you are experiencing heavy bleeding, it’s most likely because you have excess estrogen.
Do some research about progesterone. I’ve been taking it for 8 months, and it has done wonders for my premenopause symptoms!

Have you been checked for fibroids for the bleeding? I was put on progesterone, but ended up with blood clots and in the hospital for a week. Now I just tough it out.
