    Black cohosh.

    not a lot you can do. docs will offer you meds but most will put you in danger of strokes or worse. take vitamins. wear layers of clothes so that you can take things off when you are hot and put them on when you are cold. stay away from alcohol , it tends to exagerate the hot flashes.
