premenopause? What happens when you don’t get your period?

I’m 41, have an appt with the doctor May 4th. But for now, got period munchies and breasts got swollen and all the usual things, but it never came. Was suppose to be Thursday, but now what? I feel like it was all for nothing. I had tubes tied 10 yrs ago, so NOT preggers! But it feels like a false period symptoms or just first time THIS darn late!!! (normally clockwork) Is this normal? Can someone clue me in please? I seem to fit the list for perimenopause, but never missed a period yet and its a weird feeling.

It does sound like you are in perimenopause. I went through the same thing last year. I am 46 and, I am now in going through menopause. I would still see my doctor if I were you, just to be sure.
