PMS symptoms worsening and periods closer together?
Msgreenjeans asked:
This is the 2nd month that I am ovulating a week early. Lately I’ve been experiencing PMS symptoms for about 10 days, instead of 3 or 4, and they are more severe. Wicked headaches and super sore you-know-whats, almost like with pregnancy. I am 38 years old. Also going through tremendous family/marital stress since September. Could this be perimenopause, or stress, or both? And does anybody know anything, that will alleviate these symptoms?
Thanks!

I would go to a gynecologist for this kind of question, Unless a lot of doctors answer this. But if you go to your doctor, they know more personal things dealing with you! I hope everything works out
…
Hope I could help.

Hormonal imbalance which a doctor can help you with. Don’t go much longer without seeing one. You need to have help with this.

Most likely due to stress. You are too young to be in perimenopause.
Try to cut out anything with caffeine. Also, how is your blood pressure? It might be high, causing your headaches.
I would talk with your GYN doctor.

It sounds like you possible have endometriosis
Please research the symptoms and see if any the other ones relate to you
And please see a doctor/gyno
Menopause or perimenopause will not make you get more frequent periods
Midol might help a bit
Or a good heating pad
For temporary relief
Good luck!!!

First of all, I’m on my daughter’s name here. I’m 37, and was having the same problems. At first, I thought that maybe I was going through “the change”, my gyno is an excellent dr., and he told me that he thought that I was too young. Well, it kept getting worse, my periods were about every 2 1/2 weeks, and very, very painful, and when I went back to him, they did a vaginal ultrasound, and I had a “mass” on my ovary, and my uterus was enlarged. I had a hysterectomy, and to come to find out, it was a calcified cyst, and my uterus had some ulcers on the outside of it (he took pics to prove it to me..lol). I had one of my ovaries taken out in 95 due to cancer, and then cervical cancer hit me in 2002. So my dr. didn’t want to take any chances. Thankfully, I feel great! I have 3 beautiful kids, and therefore was done with the “child bearing”, but if I were you, go to you gyno, and have not only a pap smear, but a vaginal ultrasound done! Good luck!
