Menstrual question?
chefgrille asked:
OK, don’t read any further if you don’t like grossness. I’ve been on Depo-Provera for over 10 years. My period has come back now since I haven’t had a shot for a while. Why is it that even though I don’t have cramps, I have horrible diarrhea whenever Aunt Flow decides to show up?? It’s such a mess down there. I’m in my 30′s, when can I expect perimenopause?

In other news, ( I think ) menopause starts when you run out of eggs, so, unfortunately, because you were not ovulating for 10 years, you might have put off menopause for 10 years. However, this might be good, because, it means that there might be less chance of osteoperosis.

Fortunately, I’ve recently had a hysterectomy. I am 47, and have had no signs of even per menopause yet, so I would say you have a good 20+ years to go
One thing I remember is when my monthly happened, I would always have looser movements than normal. Wonder why that is?

Gotta love hormones. Also with not phasing out the depo; your body probably went into shock with your hormone levels.
