Manapause is natural, I’m not sure that it can be stopped. Signs of menapause are: Hot and cold flushes and no periods. Menapause can happen anywhere from 40 – 60.

There is no cure because menopause, or “the change of life,” is not a disease. It is a natural process that all women go through when their childbearing years come to an end. First, the ovaries stop producing the normal amount of estrogen. This usually happens at about age 52, although it can happen much earlier or later. If you have a surgical hysterectomy, menopause begins instantly.

When the ovaries stop producing estrogen, they will no longer send out eggs to your uterus to be fertilized. Your periods will become infrequent or irregular. Meanwhile, your body notices that something is wrong and tries to compensate. Your pituitary gland will boost its output of a hormone called FSH (Follical Stimulating Hormone) in a futile effort to get the ovaries to release eggs.

This imbalance of hormones (too little estrogen; too much FSH) causes all kinds of symptoms to appear: night sweats, mood swings, irritability, irregular or super heavy periods, hot flashes and insomnia. These symptoms can be very uncomfortable, but eventually they will pass as your body gets adjusted to the change.

Some women have an easy time with menopause; others find it extremely difficult. If you can ask your mother what her menopause was like, this will give you an idea of what you might experience.

If your symptoms are really troubling, see a doctor. You might be a candidate for short-term hormone therapy. Long term use of hormones is no longer recommended because it can elevate the risk of breast cancer.

There are good books out there by authors such as Susan Love and Christiane Northrup that can give you lots of advice and tips on how to get through menopause with the minimum of discomfort. Good luck to you!

There are several factors that come into play when trying to determine when menopause will begin for a specific woman. Family heredity often influences when you will approach this milestone. For example if your mother was menstruating until her late 40s or beyond, the chances are good you will too. Other factors like women’s health can influence menopause. Certain disorders and diseases of the reproductive system can result in a hysterectomy at a young age and change what nature intended. With no external influences, like illness, the average of menopause onset is 45 to 60. To know more about this condition you can visit this site:
