Yes I have. I am menopausal. The doctors run a hormone test to be sure and it is perimenopause for me. I have had the heating feel many times, but is usually in a panic attack. I do have hot flashes to and I just feel very hoe. The anxiety is so bad most of the time I just feel like I can't stand it. I have had this happening for years, but now my periods may not come for 5 months and then they come back. so to me I think your Mom may be right. I am also on meds for anxiety and it doesn't help much. And the more period I skip the more anxiety I get. I hope this help. Please talk to your doctor. He or she might be able to help. They told me to try the combipatch. I am just afraid of HRT. But it really helped my mom when she took menopause.

Ask MD for different anxiety meds, maybe longer acting.
I would get your heart & hormones checked.

See a professional social worker or psychologist for therapy to discuss your anxieties & if you are perimenopausal, your feelings about that.
Call your Gyn MD & ask if this is common.

Good luck
