Is nausea a sign of menopause?

Someone I know is 40 yrs, & her period is about two weeks late. She took a pregnancy test & its neg. She is super-super nauseated, light-headed, lower back cramping. Do you think she is going through menopause or is pregnant. She is taking another test first thing tomorrow morning. Thanks!
Not to mention her periods are like clockwork. She is super regular — but now late…

I don’t think that nausea is a symptom of menopause, I never had it. I can’t speak for back pain, because I already had that, but was never light headed either. Also she is young for missing periods because of menopause, that should come later unless she has been having short or missed periods already.
hope this helps..

I never met anyone who had those symptoms in the menopause. Night sweats, sudden flashes of feeling much too hot, loss of some pubic hair (yes, that one nobody tells you about…)
