Irregular periods ? How long will this last?
me2huh asked:
I’m 52 and having irregular periods Dr says I’m in perimenopause. In Oct my period went for 26 days and then no period till Jan and it’s been going 8 days today. What I don’t understand is if I don’t have enough hormones to have a period then why does it come back at all and why so long. This is getting old. Anybody know what’s going on and how long it will last?

This will last until your menopause is complete. Your body is starting to stop making more than traces of hormones. Until it is done, you will have irregular periods, and will start skipping some. You will probably have hot flashes soon too.
This part can last a few months, or a few years.
