I’m in my late 30s and my hubby had the “operation,” but I’m having what looks like implantation bleeding?
Vitamin C asked:
My period is always quite regular and always starts with very heavy bleeding. However, I am at least a week from when my period is supposed to start, and I am having the pinkish and brownish light spotting that is often seen after implantation (I had implantation bleeding with both of my pregnancies).

Should I be concerned that my husband’s vasectomy may have reversed itself, or could this just be a sign of perimenopause?

That operation has a very very low failure rate, I am sure it is something else.

My dad had a vasectomy and he never went back to have it checked because he just assumed it worked. Well it didn’t and my mom had a baby at 40 years old. The same thing happened to a lady at their church. I hear it’s really common. My mom thought she was going through menopause because she wasn’t having periods and she was 40… but she started feeling sick so she went to the dr. and was 3 months pregnant. You might want to take a test just to be sure.

Did he ever go back for the post op visit? A lot of men don’t bother going back to make sure the procedure was successful and there’s always a small chance that it didn’t take. I would take a test and see what’s going on.

perimenopause
My cousin went and have a vasectomy and never went back to have it checked out to make sure everything went properly. Well my cousin’s wife ended up having there 5th child, she thought she was not pregnant and was in denial because of him having the vasectomy. Well now they have a 3 year old.
I would get a pregnancy test and check it out and see if you are pregnant or not. Anything is possible.
