If you Can’t detect The Hormone?

~ Trying to loose weight ~ asked:

Until after your predicted period. (When you know your cycle.)
Or you have to go to the doctor to get that “positive test”

Does that mean…That Your not making enough Hcg hormone?

And could be going through Perimenopause?

And can Have A possible miscarriage?

My question is… What does that mean if you don’t make enough hormones to detect A positive result?

A blood test should detect any amount of hormone, so take that….
So if you’re pregnant, it’ll KNOW for sure.
If know you’re pregnant, and your hormones are very low, it can mean that you’re at possible risk of miscarriage….

you will have enough to detect and if you dont you can get a blood test done they are more precise

Im not sure why it is this happens, but if you dont get your period and you keep getting negitive tests you will just have to go to the doctors and get a blood test, that is the most accurate way to get your result!

Just to clear up the answers about getting a blood test, you would want to ask for a quantitative blood test. That measures the exact amount of hCG in your blood, and will give you the most accurate result.

If they were to conduct a qualitative blood test, it only gives you a yes or no answer, much like a HPT, and can sometimes be less sensitive! They have a set level at which they will consider it a positive result, and it often varies between hospitals.

I am a little confused about your question though, were you testing before your period was due? It’s very common to get a negative result before your period is supposed to arrive, there isn’t as much of the hormone in your blood for home tests to detect. The levels double every couple of days, and by the time you have missed your period most women will have gotten a + or -.

Keep in mind those “early” home pregnancy tests will tell you something like 60% of women in a lab setting (ie perfect conditions) will get a positive result 4 days or so before their period is due. It goes up to about 80% or so ONE day before your period is due. They are really not all they are cracked up to be, and imo only cause additional worry and anxiety for women who are indeed pregnant but have not yet built up enough hormones to detect the pregnancy.

Also, it is possible that the dates are out, and possibly not as far from conception as originally thought.

If you have gotten a negative result and still feel you may be pregnant, you should seek the advice of a doctor.

I got nothing but negatives but I was SURE I was pregnant (I have a 2-year-old!) so I went to the Dr. They did a urine test…negative. But I kept nagging so they did a blood test. It was positve and I was 8 weeks. 8 weeks and still had a neg urine test! They don’t know why and I’m almost 4 months with no problems! The HcG levels are perfect, he’s developing fine, has a good heartbeat. Sometimes there aren’t any answers…but the right blood test tells you if you are! Good luck!
