I am in the early part of menopause. Is there anything that helps the night sweats?

Had my hysterectomy back in Nov of 2004.And so far Nooooo I have night sweats still.I have tried the hormones from doctors, herbal treatments, over the counter black ko ash,U name it,I have tried it.But I want lie to you.I did stop taking my hormones about 8 months ago.And I can say for myself,I don’t have them as bad,Nor am I a B**** any longer(hubby would say Diff) But,I have friends who ridded their bodies of the hormones that are doing better, and friends that can’t live without them.I can say caffeine makes them worse!Alot worse! So if u do drink anything from coffee to colas, teas, energy drinks..It will make them horrid.I Hope they get better.I sometimes keep a wet rag in the freezer for a few minutes and place that behind my neck and even run my wrist under cold water,,seems to help a little. But unfortunately night sweats are there for good.My mother is still having them and she is 68.I myself turned 36 a few days ago and I hate the menopause.

You are in perimenopause. So am I. I’ve been in perimenopause for 4 years. Isn’t it fun!
Black cohosh helps some women. Try going to the Estroven website,, to request a free sample of their product. Remifemin,, also often offers free samples.
If you are taking other medications, be careful taking these supplements; you may want to check with your physician first.
Black cohosh helped decrease my night sweats, restless legs, and insomnia. I am not a fan of herbal supplements (in fact, I don’t believe that most of them work), so I was surprised that Estroven worked for me after my supervisor, an RN, recommended it.
