How to deal with monthly moodswings?
LittleNicky asked:
So every month about a week before I get my period I’m severely emotional. Me and My boyfriend almost break up just about every month because of it and sometimes I’m afraid I’m suicidal. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to deal wtih it?

talk to your doctor. He/She can help control it. I do the same thing.

They have over the counter vitamins for mood swings at the pharmacy that work great. I used them after my hysterectomy instead of using prescription hormones. Ask the pharmacist which brand he would recommend for you. Good Luck!!!

Please discuss this with a doctor. If you are nearly suicidal at those times, the emotional turbulence is disrupting your life. A doctor can determine if antidepressants are needed or if you need some medication to help balance your hormones.

If you are feeling suicidal once a month you MUST speak to your doctor immediately. Having PMS is fairly common, but to feel suicidal is not. There are medications that are very good at treating severe PMS (PMDD.) Good luck and PLEASE get some help for yourself.

This happens to me. When I was younger(I am 35) I took birth control pills to help and now I take antidepressants. I feel much better and my mood swings are much better.

All good advice here – especially talking to your doc about it. Advice from a GP once was on Fish Oil supplements. He said that the Omega in these has shown to help depression and mood swings. If you can stomach it….you have to take 2-4 a day and they are really big and don’t smell too good. But may be worth it to alleviate moodiness. Check with your regular doc.

It sounds like you have some big problems. Maybe you should consider a hyterectomy and you could get rid of a lot of your problems.
