Alot of you women gave great advice last time, but i’m young and i dont know alot about women. But she is pretty popular in school, i know she has friends, cause i know alot of them….. theres got to be something like physical or something, she wasnt this way when i fist met her….

Best answer:

Answer by sarahparkerleo
She’s going through a lot of things. Her body is changing. She is having a hard time relating to people. Even her friends. So just try to be understanding and listen if she needs to cry or yell or kiss and hug. I hope everything works out for you. Good Luck Dear.

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. Its not just the regular pms where you get crampy and eat a bunch of chocolate. Its a mood disorder a week or two before your period that makes you very depressed, lose interest in normal activities, hostile mood swings, etc. Only about 5% of women of menstrating age have it and yay for me, I was diagnosed with it a few years ago. I take yaz (birth control) and it seems to regulate it more than when Im not taking it at all. I was wondering if any of you women knew of anything else that I could try.

Question by Jader Gator: How can I help my mom with her depression?
For the past two days my mom has been really down, and cranky. She’s 59 years old, so she’s not going through menopause. My siblings Lauren, Vince and Jessica have been bitchy to her. Jerry and I are the only kids she’s not mad at. Let me break down what they said to her.

Lauren: She told lies to her kids that she was mean to children. She’s not, my mom is great with kids and she loves them. Mom and I were supposed to babysit her great grand daughter, but now we can’t because now everyone thinks that she’s going to abuse her. Which she’s not.

Vince: He lost his job, and mom got it back for him. He’s going to have this reunion thing going on next week and didn’t invite mom or I. He said, “I already have all of the people I want.” Then he named them off. then he continued to say, “They’re my family…I love them” Mom hung up and started to cry.

Jessica: Her husband said, “Wow babe you look like your mom!” “What’s that supposed to mean?” “Your mom is pretty, and you look like her right now.” She got pissed, and called mom. She told her what they said, and she said, “If I looked that ugly I just don’t know what I’d do. I think I’m going to go get a face lift if I look like you!”

Now my mom is depressed, and I don’t know how to comfort her. I’ve never been good at comforting people, and I can’t stand to see my mom like this! I already talked to her about a therapist, but she refused. She hates therapists, they don’t work for her. Should I talk to my siblings about what they said, or just let it go? How do I cheer my mom up?

Best answer:

Answer by luvdietpepsi
I think it’s great you want to be supportive to your Mother. I’d say, just be there for her until this all blows over, which it most likely will. Try not to get too involved in her relationships and arguments with other family members. That might end up back-firing on you. Without taking sides, just be with your mother, talk about positive things and do positive activities with her. It’s not your job to fix your Mother and my guess is she’s a lot tougher than you thing she is.

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. Its not just the regular pms where you get crampy and eat a bunch of chocolate.
Answer by ???F™ #8 – still sideways
I never knew there was an actual disorder for this. It actually happens to me and I get really crazy and mean and stuff and then like magic, one morning after I “start”, I wake up and it’s all gone and I’m back to normal. I thought I was just crazy. I’m gonna call my dr. about it now. Thanks!

Question by chelslyn21: I think i might have prenatal depression?
When my husband and I found out we were pregnant with our son we were thrilled! We were just moving into a new house, and it was right before christmas.. after trying for nearly 3 years. Now its much different. I am still very thrilled about my son but there have been a LOT of changes in our lives, excluding the pregnancy. I was having a lot of cramping the 1st tri so i quit my job. Husband now works long hours at 2 jobs. Took my 4 year old daughter out of daycare and now she is home with me 24/7 and is making me crazy, my mom is going through menopause and i can barely stand to talk to her, as we used to be very close, and my sister moved in with us. As if the lack of sex wasnt already enough, that makes it even worse. I cant sleep at night (obviously or i woldnt have time to write this) i feel like i can never get any housework done. I feel like my life has taken a 180 and i just want to break don and cry. At least I only have about 10 weeks left! Hopefully postpartum doesnt hit me!
Has anyone else had this? What can you do to get help? Are there any SAFE drugs a doctor can prescribe? How can i handle this stress when i dont even get time for a bubble bath?

Answer by jurdonna
Honey that’s enough to depress anyone! Sometimes a good cry is good to relieve all the built-up tension. I feel for you. God bless you and your family.

My son is 11wks old tmro and I am thinking of getting the implanon (don’t trust condoms) I am exclusively breastfeeding and I just want to know other breastfeeding mothers reactions/problems to having the implanon put in and also non breastfeeding women

Like any mood swings? How often you got your period? Any decrease in milk production? Any side effects at all……..

Best answer:

Answer by Our Precious Chloee
I didn’t breastfeed but i did get Implanon when my daughter was 6 weeks old, It was a nightmare at first i would spot bleed everyday but never had a proper period until i had had it in for around 6 months then my periods stopped. I have had it now for almost 2 years and other than the spotting i haven’t had any more problems from it.
This is my 3rd implant, while one of mine failed it is rare. The Dr who removed it said it looked like it had moved and wasn’t inserted the right way.

What do you think? Answer below!

Once a woman hits menopause, hot flashes are often a problem. Most of the treatments for hot flashes are temporary. Do hot flashes ever just go away with age? Or are they a problem for some women throughout old age.

Best answer:

Answer by Gracie
I’m a few years past menopause and every so often I still get a hot flash. An older woman told me they never ever quite leave you.
