is it the start of menopause?

October 28th, 2009
Crystal S asked:

I am a female, 38 and in good health. But, I went through some anxiety over the Summer and and feel better now, but while my periods are the same, I do feel a bit moody and I still worry and feel less confident than before. I also find myself more content doing the same old thing versus trying anything new. So, can this shift in attiutude, energy and mood mean anything hormonal and can perimenopause start at my age?

October 10th, 2009
crazymom asked:

I am taking them according to the directions on the bottle. Is there an amount that might be too much? I have been taking Omega 3’s for some time, but started to take the Evening Primrose to relieve menopause/perimenopause symptoms.

I have a question about perimenopause.I am 54?

October 10th, 2009
bt71 asked:

My periods have always been regular with the exception of one missed period in the last 6 months. I ovulated around 3 weeks ago had mild cramping and backache for the week after ovulation. My breasts have been swollen and tender since ovulation and I have experienced some mild fatigue with the backache coming and going at various times. I have never had any of these symptoms before. My period is about a week overdue. Could these be perimenopausal hormonal symptoms ? No hot flashes but I know everyone experiences different symptoms. Any info would be helpful…thanks

Does the natural scent of a woman’s vagina change as she ages and goes through perimenopause?

October 2nd, 2009
joe friday’s grrl asked:

I’m 47, had a partial hysterectomy (still have the ovaries) two years ago, and I’ve been experiencing perimenopausal symptoms for several years already. For the past few weeks, I’ve detected an unusual odor whenever I use the toilet, and sometimes when I’m dressed and sitting and have my thighs apart. I sometimes worry about whether or not others can smell it when I’m in public. The smell is hard to describe. It’s unusual, slightly unpleasant to me, but not horrible or fishy smelling. It’s kind of like the smell coming out of an box you’ve had stored in the attic for a few years. LOL The thing is, I have no other symptoms that might indicate any kind of vaginal infection, such as irritation, burning or itching. I don’t have any discharge, either; in fact, my vagina has become quite dry in recent months.

I’m in my late 30s and my hubby had the “operation,” but I’m having what looks like implantation bleeding?

September 23rd, 2009
Vitamin C asked:

My period is always quite regular and always starts with very heavy bleeding. However, I am at least a week from when my period is supposed to start, and I am having the pinkish and brownish light spotting that is often seen after implantation (I had implantation bleeding with both of my pregnancies).

Should I be concerned that my husband’s vasectomy may have reversed itself, or could this just be a sign of perimenopause?
